Tim Tebow is widely known as a sports figure, but there is a lot more to him than what people may think. He is the product of being home-schooled and receiving good educational and moral training. This has been seen in his conduct on and off the field and standing firmly on the spiritual foundation cultivated in his life.
Home Schooling
A common perception that the general public has is that if parents decide to home-school their children, they will not have the same opportunities and advantages as their peers in the public school system. This is a fallacy, and that train of thought does not hold true in the example of Tim Tebow. He was home-schooled in a Christian environment and developed mentally and physically as well, if not better than a student in a regular school setting. This is not a put down on public schools but simply removing the damaging haze that has remained for too long on home-schooling programs.
College Years and Professional Career
After completing high school equivalent education, Tim Tebow went to the University of Florida and became their star quarterback. He was the winner of the Heisman Trophy and became eligible for the NFL draft. He was selected by the Denver Broncos and held his own on the NFL playing field. Perhaps more than his athletic ability was his stand for conservative and Biblical values that he is most known for in his professional career. Later on, Tim Tebow switched over to become a professional baseball player with New York Mets. After that, he has currently signed on with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a tight end.
Conclusion
During Tim Tebow’s time in professional sports, he has inspired multitudes as being a voice for Biblical morality. He has also used his wealth to contribute finances to worthy causes as a philanthropist. Moreover, Tim Tebow is definitely an On Fire Missions Contributor.
