An Environment of Charity

The Bible says in I Corinthians chapter 13:1-7 (NIV) If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.  If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.  Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  There is a spiritual atmosphere of charity at Assembly of Prayer Christian Church Augusta, Georgia.  There are testimonies after testimonies of lives transformed by the love of God.  When people come and visit the church, they see more than just religion but the reality of God working in people’s lives.  Many people have been delivered from drugs, alcohol addiction, depression, and other vices.  They have received spiritual healing in their soul.  And church members grow in the Word of God and prayer.

Assembly of Prayer Christian Church Augusta, Georgia testimony

There was a young woman in Augusta, Georgia, who, like so many, got caught up in the wrong crowd.  She drifted into the party life, and while in school, her grades dropped.  Before long, she got pregnant as a teenager and got in trouble with the law.  Her life was in shambles; she wanted to get out but could not break free from the sin that was destroying her life.  Then she was invited to Assembly of Prayer Christian Church Augusta, Georgia.  So she started coming to Sunday morning services.  Assembly of Prayer Christian Church Augusta, Georgia, offered her hope and a way out of the lifestyle that she was living.  On one Sunday morning church service, the conviction of God’s Spirit pricked her heart, and she prayed for salvation and was born again.  She made a decision to serve God for the rest of her life, and she is still serving God today through the victory of Jesus Christ!
