The On Fire missions board is excited to showcase an outstanding missionary organization called Operation Mobilization.  This missionary organization based out of Tyrone, Georgia, has taken a dynamic approach to the mission field.  They have not taken the cookie-cutter approach but offer a full range of opportunities for missionaries to show the love of Jesus all over the world.  Another unique aspect of Operation Mobilization is they provide both short-term and long-term mission opportunities. They have a global network with over 6,800 missionaries and 118 nations cultivating communities of biblical Christians.  The (OM) missionaries are spectacular at providing humanitarian assistance to those in the clutches of horrifying injustice, ruthless political systems, unspeakable poverty, and hopelessness.  This missionary organization has become a beam of light that brings the message of love and hope to a lost and dying world.

The vision of Operation Mobilization started with its founder, named George Verwer.  During a Billy Graham Crusade meeting at Madison Square Garden in New York City, George Verwer dedicated his life to missions on a global scale.  Moreover, the task of (OM) is to see vibrant communities of Jesus’s followers among the least reached.  This missionary organization has missions that rescue enslaved women in Asia, work with developing bodies of believers in the Middle East, assist refugees that have fled from their countries of origin.  Whatever the need, Operation Mobilization has missionaries ready to assist, organize, train, and find a place for everyone that has a fire burning in their heart to help their fellow man.    Operation Mobilization trains and develops people in different vocations to influence and train fellow believers in their countries.  They send out dancers, nurses, teachers, writers, medical personnel, mechanics, culinary arts professionals, engineers, and volunteers that serve as interns.  From these positions of influence, they can build up their fellow believer both spiritually and vocationally.

In conclusion, Operation Mobilization receives five stars from the On Fire board of directors for the vision, motivation, diversity, dependability, and passion of this wonderful mission’s organization.  They cover nearly all facets of human life, bringing fire to help Christians in other parts of the world. They are not blinded by cultural differences and a “do it this way mentality,” but instead, they have a unique gift of prayer and ingenuity that opens their eyes to help build up communities of Christian followers to become the extraordinary man and woman of faith that they can become
