On Fire Missions is very thankful to present this article to you about House of Prayer’s Mexico Ministry. This church has given its time, prayers, finances, friendship, vision, encouragement to be brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers, and friends to their extended family in Mexico.

House of Prayer Mexico Ministry has sent Bibles, clothing, and other supplies, to take care of many needs in many homes in Mexico.  The families in Mexico were so excited about receiving these gifts that they took pictures of themselves with the new clothes, the new Bibles, and the supplies for their houses. They sent the photos back to House of Prayer Mexico Ministry. This remarkable church, driven by selfless love for others. Along with all of the other goods shipped to Mexico regularly, there was a special gift recently. Some of the sisters in Mexico described how that two times a week, they take a 3-hour journey to wash the laundry down at the river; this stirred the hearts of the brethren in America to do something special. They gave them a financial offering to go and purchase a brand new washing machine.  Their husbands and children also built a place to install the washing machine, a cover for it. They ran the water lines and the electricity to facilitate its use by all families serving God together in Mexico.

Moreover, with all of the physical, financial, and spiritual substance that has been given from the House of Prayer Mexico Ministry, the family of God in Mexico have used this offering to fan their flame. They join together in neighborhoods, on mountain tops, and in villages to join in the church services with their brothers and sisters in America. They have prayer meetings together in the afternoon and at night. Their children can be heard praying with them. Here in House of Prayer Christian Church, no children are left behind; everyone has a part. This love-driven, joy-filled, selfless church goes well beyond ordinary hospitality to ensure that everyone gets substance for their soul. Furthermore, in one of the towns where the phone reception is very bad, a couple of the brethren will take turns, climb a mountain, and record church services. Afterward, they will bring them back down the mountain, and each one of the families in this town will pass the recording of the service on to one another until all have heard the word.

The humble, spiritual beginnings of the House of Prayer Mexico Ministry.

Ultimately, it began at a migrant farm camp in Georgia. One of the ministers from House of Prayer parked his car on a dirt road in Glenville and was praying to meet a sincere soul from the camp.  He lifted his head and saw a miracle! There was a man who was in the wood line, praying. The minister got out of his car and approached the man; he found out the man was praying to find a church when he started talking to him. House of Prayer Mexico Ministry is a ministry that is given to prayer, Bible reading & outreach.

The House of Prayer Mexico Ministry has been established to also serve the brothers and sisters from Mexico who come to America on a work visa. The owner of the migrant farm camp has allowed this wonderful church the privilege to serve those who are called migrants, but House of Prayer calls them family. For example, washers and dryers have been purchased for the brethren. They are taken to the migrant farm camp when they come to America along with other household goods and food and water to make their stay as comfortable as possible amidst the daily hard labor at the migrant camp.

The owner of the migrant camp has even allowed House of Prayer Mexico Ministry to come and hold special church services on the property and open it up to all who want to come and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So yes, people are still bringing hope, strengthening hands, and feeding hungry souls with manna from heaven.
