On Fire Ministries in please to showcase the Truckstop Ministries! This ministry was founded in 1981 with the vision of ministering to truck drivers through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is headquartered in Jackson, GA and has an office staff and a multitude of volunteers that have rallied under this Gospel banner! Truckstop Ministries believes in the power of prayer and has a 24-hour toll-free Trucker’s prayer line. This mission was brought into being through the vision and labors of Rev Joseph H. Hunter. After he returned from the Vietnam War and completing his US Army enlistment, Joseph Hunter became a commercial truck driver for over 20 years. During his tenure as a CDL truck driver, Joseph longed to go to church on a Sunday morning as he drove through many of the major cities in America. In 1979, Joseph had a burden to minister to truck drivers and he started a Bible studies. This ministry grew and today there are Truckstop Ministry chapels in over 82 truck stops in 29 states!
